Keep It Burnin’!

For those who are married, engaged or have been in a relationship for a long time, do you still flirt with your partner? ;-) Well, hubby and I still do! LOL I think it is one of the fun ways to keep the fire burnin’! Know what I mean? ;-)

A few months ago, hubby and I were at the Waterfront KK. It was one of our dates, just me and him. So we were chatting and joking away, we did not realise the waitress was observing us. I had my old time favourite cocktail (Long Island Iced Tea.. yummy!) and hubby had a beer. Just after midnight, we decided to leave. The friendly waitress came and took our glasses away and we asked her for the bill. She was saying how ‘young’ the night was and we should stay longer. We told her that the kids were at home and after all, it was kinda late (LOL you young ones out there may be thinking, hello, midnight is late?? Isn’t it ‘early morning’? LOL). Anyways… She looked at us and said ‘You have kids? You’re joking right?’ We laughed and told her we have two, 6+ and 2+. And she went on saying we looked as if we were boyfriend/girlfriend!! LOL May be it was the way hubby and I were flirting with each other that did the trick, huh?
 LOL

So, what’s your flirty look? May be this photo shows one of mine! ;-)

LOL What da ya think?

When hubby and I met more than 11 years ago, I remember the flirting started with joking around, and loads of smiles and eye-contacts! ;-) So, for you beautiful and flirty people out there, why not try out the Extreme Style by VO5 Ultimate Flirting Championship? ;-) You’ll never know, you might win the Victory Hair!! Go on, give it a go! :-D

For the Sake of RM1…

How silly can one be? May be as silly as Carol and I.

When we arrived at LCCT last Friday evening, we rushed to get the shuttle bus ticket which cost RM8 per person. The Air Asia shuttle bus was at RM9 per person you see, so, we quickly thought, nah, better save the RM1… (Being kedekut or what?? May be or what.. LOL)

After getting our very light bags, we rushed to the sideways where the shuttle buses were. However, the Aerobus (the RM8, remember?) left when we got there because it was already full. So, we thought, there’ll be one coming soon. We waited. Then we waited some more. It was like nearly an hour then the next bus came! The Air Asia buses were coming and going, oh yeah, they were really punctual.

*sigh*

When the bus finally came, we got in, and had to wait for another 15 minutes, apparently to fill up the bus. Duhhh?? And we were so hungry, like bagagar already! LOL

We could have kicked ourselves… On the way to KL Sentral, the journey wasn’t smooth. It felt like the bus was going to fall apart any time - it really sounded like my old car! LOL

Anyways… That was a lesson well learned. Sia inda mau lagi jimat2 RM1 lain kali! Si Carol pun insaf juga..

LOL

The Cleaning Business

When hubby and I bought our apartment in 2001, we thought, it is small and must be really easy to clean. With only two rooms, the small kitchen and bathroom to clean, it’ll be cleaned in no time!

Boy, were we wrong! LOL Somehow, it does take time to clean our little apartment. Pre-children time, we did the cleaning during weekends. Cleaning up during weekdays was limited to making the living room and bedroom look livable (LOL!) and the kitchen decent. *grin* I wish I had the Dirt Devil then. Not only it could have saved my time and money, it also has a better way to save energy (and our Earth!)! How cool is that? I’d love to own one now (anyone wants to give me one for an early Christmas pressie, perhaps? *big grin*).The new AccuCharge Stick Vac and Hand Vac use 70% less energy, which makes AccuCharge the first cordless cleaning technology to earn Energy Star approval. Coolest is the word!

And now, with two children, we have some problems with cleaning the car. LOL When they eat or drink in the car, it is kinda hard to keep up with the cleaning up! The Hand Vac would be really nice to have too, huh?

Can’t Wait for the Weekend!

Carol and I are going to KL for a little (shopping) vacation on Friday (just for a few days). It’s such a pity our friend Trecey can’t make it with us (due to unforseen circumstances). It’d have been merrier! We booked the tickets with Airasia I think in September or October last year. LOL Talk about being kiasu, huh? The airfare’s RM150 RETURN. Wouldn’t you want to grab it too? hehe We’ll be staying with our friend of many years, Calida (I must get her fave kupi Tenom).

Anyway, Shania has given me her complete shopping list. And oh, she did one for Ted too. *grin* So, my first mission is to get the kids’ stuff. Then a birthday gift for hubby.

Then, my stuff. *big grin*

All must be bought within my (very) tight budget.. Hmmm…. No credit cards allowed! LOL

We shall wait and see lah! *wink*

Rumours spark petrol panic in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Petrol kiosks were jammed with motorists as panic-buying of fuel was seen throughout Sabah over rumours of petrol kiosks closing down for three days.

The panic was triggered by rumours that petrol kiosk will shut down from Wednesday because protesting kiosk dealers nationwide were demanding higher commissions following the recent fuel hike.

Officials from Shell Malaysia and the Sabah Petroleum Dealers Association stressed that there was no truth to the rumour, and urged people not to resort to panic buying.

“We were told that petrol kiosks were going to close for three days. I rushed from my office to fill my tank,” said motorist Abdul Rashmin Salleh, who said there were also rumours of further price hikes.

Despite being assured that there was no shutdown or fuel hikes, one motorist said that he was not taking the risk.

Most petrol kiosk and roads approaching them were jammed as people waited in long queues to get their tanks filled up; traffic in the city centre came to a standstill during the office rush hour.

In some areas like interior Keningau, queues were as long as 2km, while kiosks ran out of supply.

“Shell retail stations nationwide continue with normal operating hours,” a Sabah Shell spokesman said in a statement.
