On our way to the airport on the 22nd Dec, the kids seemed to be so tired and fell asleep in the car.

 

Then, on the plane, both were so excited.

 

After a few minutes….

 

However, when we returned to KK on the 27th, it was a different story. Ted was hyperactive on the plane and boy, was it tough! Terence and I are seriously considering postponing any plan to go for a holiday by flight, especially long ones…

The trip to Nexus on 15-16th December was a lovely one. Really needed to get away from KK even for a day. (o;

So what did we do?

All set for Christmas, my cousin’s wedding and the new year!!

Today I’m going to highlight my hair (ahemm..) and doing the last bit of Christmas shopping. I’ll also be busy packing for our ‘balik kampung’ trip to Tawau from 22nd to 27th.

My hubby’s family is in Tawau. They are originally from Penampang but have been in Tawau for more than 34 years. If we spend Christmas in Tawau, then New Year will be celebrated in KK, or vice versa. Sometimes, our Tawau family will celebrate Christmas in KK.

Shania is super excited about spending Christmas in Tawau. Ted doesn’t really know yet so he’s happy wherever he is!

I received a book from my uncle in Kuching entitled ‘The Purpose Driven Life’ by Rick Warren last year, a few weeks after my brother passed away. For some reasons, I didn’t finish reading it.

Yesssss! Can’t wait for our trip to Nexus Karambunai tomorrow! Nexus is situated in Karambunai peninsula, 30 kilometres northeast of KK.

The last time we spent the weekend there was 2 years ago when I was heavily pregnant with Ted (7 months plus)! We did plan to go there after that, but somehow, we had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. I was at Nexus a few weeks ago attending a seminar and being there gave me the inspiration to find the ‘right’ weekend for a short family holiday. (o:

I’m really glad I work for the Government. One of the perks is getting promotional govt rates from resorts or hotels. (o; Shania is so excited, she can’t wait to go swimming. I love the ambience at Nexus - really relaxing and refreshing.
