Sharing About the Environment

During the Cultural Carnival last weekend, my colleagues and I set up a booth to disseminate and share information about what we do to look after our Environment.

We also had a wildlife puzzle corner meant for children (or so we thought). To our pleasant surprise, many teenagers and adults were also interested to do the puzzles! Coolest! (o;

May Be I Should Change My Glasses

I’ve been wearing glasses for the last eight years. Every now and then I would change my frame and of course the lens (depending on the health of my eyes (o; ).

I love colourful and trendy frames and found lots of them online at Zenni Optical: Sell Rx Glasses $8 with case! How convenient to be able to order glasses online huh?

Just a year ago I changed my frames. They ARE kinda crooked now…. (Hmm, may be it’s time to change, after all.. (o; )

Glad it’s Sunday

I’m glad to be at home (most of) today. We managed to go for breakfast at Fui Lau for the yummy assam pedas before going to church at 10:30 am. (The taukeh at Fui Lau is very noisy but I suppose, the customers don’t really mind since his assam pedas is sedap bah)

Terence took the kids and my niece and nephew for a swim at our Regency Park pool just now. Ted was only there for a while though - he was looking for me. Ted, Ted. The other kids just got back and are very happy. (o: I fried noodles for them and now they wanna eat. Hmm, swimming has that effect on people - i.e. makes ’em swimmers hungry. (o;

Tonight, Terence and I are attending the Penampang JC’s Cultural Nite at the Royal China Restaurant, Lido. The best thing is - our tickets are sponsored by dearest bro-in-law (sis Rosa’s hubby). Wooohooo.. So happy!

Let’s Go Travellin’…

Travelling is one of the effective ways to destress and pamper ourselves and to take us ‘away’ from it all, even for a few days. It also gives us a great chance to learn new cultures and explore new places.

When hubby and I plan to travel or just ‘talking’ about it (not necessarily ‘going’), I’ll jump to my laptop and check out the best deals on travel packages, cruises, etc online. Hubby would love to go to Korea and New Zealand (among others…), and I’m dreaming of going to Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand (again), Korea, Hawaii and many more!

I’ve never been on a cruise before but wouldn’t it be lovely to take a Hawaii cruise package and be pampered all the way? Not forgetting visiting new places, shopping, dining, etc..

Sounds fantastic to me.

Rush.. Rush..

Haven’t really had the chance (and time) to blog and blog-hop. The Cultural Carnival Weekend is here and I’m going to Padang Merdeka again soon (was there early this morning to do final set-up of our booth).

Will post more when time permits (and streamyx, that is. It has been super slow lately.. Hmmm)

Anyway, have a lovely weekend, peeps! *hugs*

Cultural Carnival in Kota Kinabalu

For those who will be in Kota Kinabalu on 26-27th January (that’s next weekend), you are most welcome to attend the Cultural Carnival at the Padang Merdeka, KK.

There will be cultural dances, singing competition, cartoon drawing sessions (our famous Malaysian cartoonist/comedian Imuda will be there too), colouring/drawing competitions, exhibitions and lots more.

My department is involved in the exhibition together with various ethnic groups and government departments/agencies. I will be there on Saturday - hope to see some of you! (o;

Never Too Expensive…

When hubby and I were dating many years ago, phone cards were life-savers (or rather, money-savers!). He was in East London, I was in Norwich. We used phone cards to call each other every day - which were way cheaper than normal phone rates.

These days, we can get better and very good rates to call overseas. Having relatives and friends all over the world, it’s never too expensive to call them with phone cards.

You can purchase the international calling cards online using mastercard, visa, discover or amex. There are various options for the prepaid calling cards such as pinless dialling, rechargeable, permanent pin and international call backs.

For me, I would purchase the Fast World Calling Card. It is a permanent pin card with refill feature and PIN free access option. The best thing is, it offers the lowest long distance calling rates for calls all over the world. A good way to stay connected AND save money, huh?

My Little Musicians…

…in the making (I hope) (o;

Shania and Ted love to play the toy musical instruments. Hubby and I are thinking of sending them to musical class when they’re a bit bigger. Who knows, we can form a ‘kugiran’ (band) next time? (o;

Ted loves the song ‘Pencinta Wanita’ so much that he ’sings’ to it everytime it’s played…
