What Kind of Thinker Are You?

Your Thinking is Concrete and Sequential

You are precise, orderly, and realistic.
You tend to get to the point and get things done.

Difficult, detailed work is easy for you. You take things step by step.
Time limits aren’t a problem for you either. You work well with deadlines.

What does drive you crazy is any sort of task that isn’t precisely laid out.
You don’t like anything to be ambiguous. You prefer to deal with the facts at hand.

What Kind of Thinker Are You?

Lazy and bodoh-sombong folks drive me nuts!! LOL

Be Healed!

I feel really blessed for having the chance to attend a healing seminar by Fr. Augustine Mundackatt from India at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, KK. It was a 5-day seminar but I only managed to attend 2 sessions last Thursday and on Sunday.

Both sessions were amazing! When a huge congregation of God’s people pray together, the impact is simply breathtaking. The presence of the Holy Spirit’s so strong. My vulnerability was exposed to myself (yes, to myself) in the presence of God – everything that I was, the situations I was in, all stripped away. I broke down not just because of the burdens I was carrying but most of all, I was awed with God’s presence, His Love and Mercy. I was overwhelmed with the Love that was ‘massaging’ my heart! Oh yeah, I felt my heart was massaged and it felt so wonderful! *smiles*

Fr. Augustine shared and spoke about many things. He spoke about
Noah who found favours with God (anointed with grace and the Holy Spirit) and those who were with him were spared from the big flood. The only way to break the bondage of sufferings (or the floods of problems) in our lives is by God’s grace. We need to re-evaluate on how we treat others in our lives, the words we speak, and the actions we do.

Fr. Augustine prayed over us and his way was really cute – he asked us to touch our heads with both hands and closed our eyes! It was so comforting, and wonderfully powerful.

The healing mass on Sunday was attended by thousands of people. I went with hubby, the kids and my mom. Simply amazing! The 3 hours went by without us realising it. Praying together with others help a lot to uplift a low spirit or to lift one’s spirit to a higher level. The praise and worship songs were so touching and meaningful. If you’d ask me about recharging ourselves, this is definitely one of the effective ways! *grin*

I feel so recharged now. I do know and am aware that challenges will come and go in our journey in life. Those are the periods when we go through God’s Refiner’s Fire – to purify us, to make us holy, and to bring us to a deeper level of relationship with Him. When life’s tsunamis hit us, if we hang on to God, He’ll never leave us. No matter how much we feel ‘abandoned’. I know that, I’ve gone through a few tsunamis in life – and one of them is the sudden death of my brother. Missing and longing for him are tearing our hearts apart but God is helping to mend our broken hearts. Time will heal, for sure. The story of Job humbles me to realisation.

I’m reading a book by Dave Earley – 21 reasons bad things happen to good people. I understand much more now. My journey to get to know my Maker will go on, till one day I see Him face to face, literally.

Happy Earth Day!!

Happy Earth Day!

Today is Earth Day. It started in 1970 when an American Senator Gaylord Nelson called for a national gathering to highlight environmental issues at the national level. The gathering paved the way of the establishment of the US Environmental Protection Agency and the formulation of environmental acts. From then onwards, 22 April is celebrated annually all over the world as a sign of concerted efforts to educate the global communities about the importance of environmental protection.

On this special day, I’d like to ask you, what are your contributions to protect our Earth? No matter how small it is, it is still a contribution, right? *smile*

By the way, I just got back from Sandakan. I was at the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), Sepilok to attend a meeting of facilitators for the upcoming exciting Environmental Education Race III (this is like Amazing Race, you know!!)! My cousin Benn and friends are so privileged everyday having an office surrounded by trees and more trees at the RDC! And not forgetting happy chirping of birds.. (My office in the city is surrounded by buildings, roads, cars! Hmmm..)

Just to share a pix of a small part of our Earth from the skies I took on the plane just now. *grin*

Just remember, Earth Day is every day ya… *wink*
